A man was left with only two toenails after running a marathon - in ski boots.
Mike Humphrey, 34, decided to take on the challenge spontaneously to raise money for charity.
He had spent the month skiing in Val Thorens, France, and decided to drive to Paris with his ski equipment and his £500 ski boots a day before the race.
Mike arrived at 2.30 am before the Paris marathon on April 13, 2025, and after getting a few hours' sleep, he took the metro to the start line in his boots.
He managed to run the 26.2 mile race in six hours and 50 minutes - but was left with blisters and only two toenails remaining.
