00:01Egypt's top diplomat hosts his Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani in Cairo,

00:07topping the agenda for talks, migration, economic development and the war in Gaza.

00:13Tajani throwing his weight behind an Arab plan for the reconstruction of the Strip post-war,

00:19while also reaffirming Rome's support for a two-state solution.

00:23We are ready to do everything necessary to facilitate a ceasefire that puts an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people

00:34and the suffering of the Israeli people, and therefore also the release of hostages.

00:39We are also committed to supporting the Egyptian-led project for the reconstruction of Gaza.

00:45Our goal is to achieve peace with the possibility for the Palestinian people

00:49to realize their dream of having a state that recognizes Israel as recognized by Israel.
