00:06Let's rewind to Peshawar in 1984, the first ODI between Pakistan and New Zealand.

00:11Javed Miadad stole the show with a masterclass knock of 80 runs of just 86 balls,

00:17spending 127 minutes at the Curies. His inning was laced with four cracking boundaries and

00:23two towering sixes. Calm under pressure and aggressive when needed,

00:26Miadad's unbeaten effort powered Pakistan to a solid win, defeating New Zealand by 46 runs.

07:23whether it was anchoring the innings during a collapse or accelerating the score in the final overs.

07:30His running between the wickets and placements of shots were impeccable and he was known for squeezing singles

07:36One of his most iconic moments came during the 1986 Australian Cup Final against India, when he smashed a lost ball

08:04Javed Miadad was also a shrewd tactician and later served as Pakistan captain and coach.
