Qur'an Verse (Surah Sad 38:71-72): "When your Lord said to the angels, 'I am going to create a human being from clay. So when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down in prostration to him.'" Hadith (Sahih Muslim – Book 46, Hadith 1): The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
"Allah created Adam from a handful which He took from the entire earth, so the children of Adam come according to the earth: some red, some white, some black, and some in between, smooth and rough, bad and good."
Summary Explanation: Allah created Adam from clay, shaped him, and breathed into him His spirit.
The angels were commanded to prostrate to Adam as a sign of honor (not worship).
From Adam, all human beings were created, with different colors and characteristics, reflecting the variety of the earth.
