00:00I did! I did! I did! I did! I did!
00:06Or Crystal or Lana?
00:08Say my name again.
00:09Um...
00:11That's a great question, my love.
00:14I cannot wait to find out.
00:16That's a good question. I loved Crystal Envy's Quilted Runway. The red with the cream puffer.
00:38It was giving me money, expensive, fabulosity.
00:41Arrietty's Lionfish. Literally, just paint me and throw me in the ocean. I'm ready.
00:48Shady question, but you know what? I'm going to give the Golden Boot Award to my beautiful sister Joella
00:54because it was the best worst, you know what I mean? It's just so iconic.
00:58And I think that's the runway look that represents Season 17.
01:03I didn't even tell you, it was the mattress look. That look is the look of the season.
01:07You will never not think of the mattress when you think of Season 17.
01:11So Joella has created a historical moment. Shout out Joella.
01:15What were you thinking when you saw her in that?
01:18You know what? I was watching her walk around in her underneath outfit for the longest time.
01:23So I was like, is this her runway? Like a little underneath one?
01:26And then she pulled out the big thing and I was like, oh.
01:29She really put this on the bed and said, girl, I'm winning drag race in this.
01:32And I live. And I live! Joella, are you okay?
01:35JoJo. JoJo's sister. Are you okay?
01:39Joella. The mattress. I'm so sorry, JoJo. You know what you did, girl.
01:44I think she knows.
01:45And Corey, you barely got lucky because it could have been you.
01:48But Joella, she beat you with the mattress.
01:51Joella.
01:53And that's what everyone...
01:55Iconic, but worst.
01:57Oh my God, so much. There was a lot of gaggy eliminations.
02:00There were people that I thought would be there a lot longer and they were out the door, honey.
02:05So I was like, oh, nobody is safe.
02:07Lucky Stars, for example.
02:10I think that she is such a brilliant queen and she has an amazing vision and aesthetic when it comes to drag.
02:17But you know, it just goes to show.
02:19Doesn't matter how fierce you are, drag race is you can slip up one time and that could be the end.
02:24Honestly, to see myself process and handle things and learn in real time, like, that's kind of gaggy.
02:34I didn't, I never thought I would do that and or feel some type of, like, calming from that.
02:42You know what I mean?
02:43It was soothing to actually see that and say, okay, yes.
02:46Like, there's nothing wrong with that.
02:48I love you.
02:49You know, like, it's, that meant a lot.
02:51I think watching, like, because I'm not a shy person, I'm very aggressive in, like, how I approach myself when it comes to other people.
03:01But watching on the show, I did see myself very, like, closed off sometimes.
03:06And I don't realize that I come off that way sometimes.
03:10And it made me learn a lot about just, like, bringing those walls down.
03:14Because in a lot of the spaces that I'm in, it is a safe place.
03:17Because, I mean, and you don't need to have those walls up.
03:20And joy is contagious, so you should be spreading it as much as possible.
03:25Oh my God, my facial expressions.
03:27I have a lot of them and I don't know how to control them.
03:30And the world knows my face before I know my face.
03:33The world knows what I'm thinking before I know what I'm thinking.
03:35Yeah, that's, I learned that.
03:38Yeah.
03:39Well, before getting on Drag Race, I did play Dunkey and Shrek about three times.
03:43So, I had, like, Eddie Murphy in my bones that way.
03:47But growing up, I was a huge Nutty Professor fan.
03:50Norbit, Shrek, and I kind of just put all of those in one and just made it my own.
03:54Oh my God.
03:55Well, it wasn't my first choice.
03:56My first choice was Jennifer Kudlidge.
03:58But, she's been done so many times on the show.
04:01Even though I probably would have been the best one.
04:03It's been just done so many times.
04:05I picked Miss Big Feet because I thought it was so interesting that there was this character
04:08that we didn't know anything about, but she had, like, one nude picture online.
04:11And, like, that's all we know about her.
04:13I was like, there's so much to play with there.
04:15And, yeah, I created the whole character from scratch and I want to do more with that character.
04:20It was so much fun doing it.
04:22I mean, the whole time I was like, my life.
04:24Somebody kill me.
04:25Like, I don't know.
04:27It just, it all went blank, honey.
04:29There wasn't a single thing left other than you know who to my right and you know who to my left.
04:36So, it was just a fog.
04:39A fog.
04:40But, I actually got a tattoo.
04:42You can't see it right now necessarily, but they said we flipped for your flop.
04:46And, I mean, my God.
04:47I had to get that tattooed on me.
04:49Well, I knew for the Lollapurusa we would simply be walking on the stage.
04:54And, I was thinking about how I would look on that stage.
04:57And then, for some reason, Dolce's Tom Brown look when she was holding that Grammy on that stage
05:04is kind of, like, burned into my memory.
05:06And, I just thought it was an iconic moment to see her in that crazy, lovely outfit standing on the stage.
05:12So, I kind of just wanted to do the same thing.
05:14I wanted to feel like Dolce.
05:16And, I did.
05:17Not the messy question.
05:19I would probably pick the song, to be honest.
05:22Because, I think if I felt comfortable in the vibe of the song, then I could take any of them .
05:27Oh, my God.
05:28The song.
05:29Absolutely.
05:30I think it's kind of a cop out to choose a competitor.
05:32This is the craft store's finest.
05:36Craft creative glitter.
05:38And, we used adhesive that you use to stick clothing on with.
05:45This is a new trick.
05:46We didn't do this for the actual promos.
05:48We did something a little bit more stuck, because we were getting in water.
05:51So, this is a little bit quicker, a little bit easier, and a little more breathable.
05:55Oh, my God.
05:56Sharing the stage with her opened my eyes so much about being on Drag Race.
06:00I mean, I was always terrified to walk the runway.
06:02It was always, like, one of the more nerve-wracking parts.
06:05And, watching him just go down the runway with no fear, and just talking to RuPaul in his, like, glamazonian vibe and fantasy.
06:15I was like, why am I so scared of this stage?
06:17If, like, if my dad can do this and just do it with love and do it for me, why can't I do it for me?
06:23So, I only had one more runway after that, but I felt like that one was the most sickening one, girl.
06:28Well, I think she's going to start her own tour.
06:30Sassy Star Takes America.
06:32She wants to come with me everywhere.
06:34She wanted to be here tonight.
06:36She couldn't get off work, sadly.
06:37So, Mom, I know you're watching.
06:39I love you so much.
06:40But, she is my everything.
06:43She's my world.
06:44And, we got to share that experience together, which, I'm the luckiest little gay boy ever.
06:49It felt great, but I really wanted five.
06:52I did.
06:53I did.
06:54Once I got to four, I was like, well, maybe I could squeeze in one more.
06:56Well, maybe the crown will be your fifth win.
06:58Yes, I'm a greedy .
07:00.
07:01.
07:07.
07:08.
07:09.
07:10.
07:11.
