Are Leeds United Premier League ready amidst reports that Daniel Farke may be sacked?

00:00now leeds united reaching the premier league once again now it does beg so many more questions of

00:09whether they are ready uh for top flight action obviously we've seen um you know back-to-back

00:14seasons the three promoted teams have been relegated straight away and you feel in leeds

00:20case it could be slightly different obviously burnley going up as well and that third place

00:25will be decided by the playoffs leeds will want to push on and win the league now um but the bigger

00:30picture is the premier league can they get up there can they stay there um they're up there now with

00:36an incredible goal scoring record 89 goals uh in the championship this season way more than second

00:42place on you know 61 uh 64 sorry as well and 67 i mean in terms of their output they've been

00:50unbelievable but it's been a lead side that's heavily been invested in you know we can't forget

00:54that um this was a task similar to aston villa's a few few years ago now uh where they went down

01:01they've invested heavily and if it didn't go up the the repercussions the the backlash if they didn't

01:06would be way bigger they did it in style with a 6-0 win over stoke city um but it does beg the

01:13question you know daniel farker has had promotion before he's a very well experienced championship

01:19manager in terms of getting teams out of that position um they go right up to the premier league

01:25now can they stay there can they adjust and ensure they have the quality to do it for more than just

01:30one season they want to be a stone you know stone wall premier league outfit again it's a mammoth

01:36challenge dan um do you feel they are up for it

01:39well charles they certainly have premier league talent within their ranks players who played for leeds

01:46the last time they were in the premier league just a couple of years ago although they probably also

01:51have some players who are now surplus to requirements perhaps not good enough anymore

01:56for that level of football and of course they will have a a big summer most teams do who who try to come

02:02up and into the premier league from the championship because they just know that the gulf is so big

02:06um and there's also of course reports that leeds are looking about or looking to to replace daniel

02:12farker as head coach which is a really interesting thing that's just come out literally a day or two

02:18after they confirmed their promotion and it's perhaps quite harsh on daniel farker because it is

02:24in essence devaluing the job he's done and getting them back up to the premier league but at the same

02:29time his record as a premier league manager when he was at norwich wasn't the best didn't really sustain

02:36them as a premier league club so you can probably understand leeds thinking when it comes to

02:40perhaps replacing daniel farker although you could also argue that he should given the fact that

02:45he's got them up be given his fair chance at keeping them up as well but leeds might not want to

02:51think about that they might just want to act as soon as possible and and plan for the future straight

02:56away and think well you know you've done what you were asked to do mr farker now it's time to to

03:01move you on so that's just the harsh reality of football in terms of their playing squad as i mentioned

03:06certainly some do have premier league experience and will be kept on they've got a lot of attacking

03:10talent of leeds uh you know the likes of of dan james loghi ramazzani but then you've got also

03:16people on loan like mano solomon from spurs will he be kept at leeds or will spurs recall him that's

03:22an interesting one that will probably develop over the summer certainly for leeds they want to become

03:28as you say they're an established premier league outfit they don't just want to be a yo yo club because

03:34a club the size of leeds yeah i'm not saying any club has the divine right or deserves to be where

03:39where they are but certainly from their their stature's perspective they they probably think

03:45they deserve to be a premier league club on a consistent basis certainly they once were of

03:49course top flight club for many years before recent hardships got in the way so the last time of

03:56course leeds were up they they managed two seasons before going back down again and then they've had

04:00two seasons back in the championship before now coming back up to the promised land that is the

04:05premier league so things are looking rosy for leeds but it's certainly going to be an interesting

04:10summer in terms of what they do and how they go about their business the playing side of things

04:15will need improvements as i mentioned there but it's the managerial side that i find the most

04:19interesting at the moment will daniel farker still be need united head coach come the start of next

04:24season well if reports are to be believed i'm not so sure and as i say it is harsh if that is the case

04:31but that's football unfortunately and leeds if anything are showing that they are serious

04:36about staying up and not just happy to be scrapping against relegation uh come next season
