Cats, Merch Events, Volunteers, And Raising Money For Breast Cancer Awareness

Our latest Kitty Corner video features playful cats, merch events, and Karma Cat volunteers raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness!

00:00Hey, it's Debbie Mazzella. Thanks so much for watching our latest Kitty Corner video here at

00:08magic983.com. I have to tell you, this has been a fun afternoon. As you can see from the chaos

00:15going on behind me with Gina and two of the adoptables, this merch is going toward a very

00:22good cause. And if you ever wondered how powerful the catnip that they put in the merch and the

00:28toys here at Karmacat is, this is full throttle, total testament. So we're going to tell you about

00:34it. We've got a lot to talk about on this video, starting with the upcoming event. September 30th

00:39is going to be Miltown Day here, and that's going to be between 10 and 3. And Karmacat is actually,

00:47and all of the businesses here in Miltown participate. It's a great community event.

00:53Magic98.3 is there. Obviously, all of the businesses participate, but Karmacat is doing

01:00a breast cancer awareness campaign, and it starts off that day. And all the pink merch that you see

01:05behind us is going to be for sale, and the proceeds benefit breast cancer research and awareness and go

01:12toward a great cause. So if you're in Miltown or any of the surrounding towns, make sure you stop by

01:17for Miltown Day on September 30th. So then we go to October 13th, and Karmacat has paired up with

01:24Rabbit's Den Tattoo Parlor before. They are going to be doing another event there, and that is going

01:29to be on October 13th. And then October 14th, there's going to be a merch event, and it's going to

01:36benefit Mary's Place by the Sea. And if you've never heard about this organization, they're wonderful.

01:41They help women that have been affected by breast cancer, are currently going through treatment for

01:45breast cancer, or even post-treatment, that they still need some help. And they're going to be doing

01:50a 5K walk, so there's going to be a merch event there. And then, the weekend of October 20th through

01:55the 22nd, there's going to be a great adoption event here at the MAC Center in Miltown. And that is

02:02going to be called, this is a tongue twister, Meow-le-ween, okay? And you can adopt your pump kitty.

02:10And Magic98.3 is going to be on site here. There's going to be raffles and prizes and lots of

02:15events and lots of fun. And you can get a half-price adoption and take home your very own

02:20pump kitty. So, all of that is going to be on the Kitty Corner page. If you missed anything,

02:25or you're just like, I just want to play with cats, I just want to see the cats, I don't want to hear

02:29you talking, Debbie. Well, it's all here on the page, and you can check it out. So, we are going to

02:33turn it over to Janine, and she is going to tell you about all the volunteers that they're still

02:38looking for for Karma Cat. They're always in need of good people. It doesn't necessarily mean here at the

02:43Mac Center. There's some behind-the-scenes stuff you can do. So, we're going to turn it over to

02:47Janine, and she's going to tell you all about that. So, we have our biggest pressing need at the

02:52moment. There's two. So, number one is on site here, and that's on the weekends. So, it'll give you

03:01more flexibility if you're working during the week, if you want to come in on the weekend, either in the

03:05morning or at night, and help us keep everything clean and in great shape for the kitties here.

03:11I think this adoption center is really well-known for, like, how clean and in great shape it is,

03:17and it's really a beautiful space, and that's all due to the volunteers who come in twice a day

03:23and clean. So, we are really looking for people on weekends, so Saturday and Sunday, morning and night,

03:31to come in and help clean. The second big need is for fosters. So, if you would love to have a cat in

03:40your home, but not make that permanent commitment, you can help save a life by fostering. We have a

03:47lot of special needs kitties, so that you can help socialize and get them ready for adoption,

03:52so that's really important. And then, some other things that you can do from home are to help with

03:57our social media, help us plan events. You can make some of the merch that we're going to see at,

04:03you know, things like the 5K Mary's Place by the Sea or our Breast Cancer Awareness Merchant Nice.

04:09So, that is all handmade and crafted by our crafting volunteers. Another way that you can help out is to

04:16sponsor a townhouse or apartment. So, you're welcome to come in during our adoption hours, look around,

04:22and see the different sponsorship opportunities and names that are on the townhouses and apartments,

04:29and, you know, maybe put your own name on it. And so, now Gina is going to talk about our featured

04:35adoptables. Thanks, Janine. So, this month we have some really, really amazing featured adoptables.

04:43We have Sarabi, who's a two-year-old brown tabby female. She's absolutely stunning. She has big,

04:50bright, gorgeous eyes, and she's super sweet. She would prefer to be your only kitty,

04:56but she will fill your home with love. Our second featured adoptable for this month is Lindsey Horan.

05:02She's a three-and-a-half-year-old twerty, and she absolutely loves other cats. So, if you have a cat

05:08or two at home that are looking for a companion, Lindsey might be your perfect choice. She's totally

05:13adorable, and she would love to meet you. Another one of our available adoptable kitties is Woody.

05:22He's two years old, and as you can see, he's a brown tabby. He's super handsome. He's very, very friendly.

05:29He loves people and other cats, and he can play with other cats just fine, or he can also play

05:37independently. So, he could keep your other cats company, and he can also entertain himself.

05:44And our last featured adoptable for this month is Trinity Rodman. You can see her over here behind me.

05:50She is absolutely beautiful. She's white with brown tabby. Trinity is seven years old. She would also

05:57prefer to be your one and only love. She's super sweet and chatty. She loves people, and you would not

06:04miss having other cats with Trinity in your world. So, you can meet Trinity and Woody here at the adoption

06:12center, and if you're interested in meeting Sarabi or Lindsey, you can set up an appointment to meet

06:17them because they are currently in foster care. So, as you could tell from watching this video,

06:22it has been totally off the cuff, totally ad-libbed really, aside from the merch notes that we have

06:28in front of us, and it has been one of the most fun ones that we have filmed. We hope you enjoyed
