00:00Hey there! It's Andy Summers! We're at the Tidalway Festival, and I'm here with Dylan Scott. How are you?

00:06I'm great. How are you doing?

00:07I'm doing so well. You are a sweaty mess right now. What have you been doing?

00:10Yeah. We've been playing a little show for Jersey Mike's outside on the Jersey Shore.

00:15See that?

00:16At the Sub Above Club.

00:18Wow.

00:19I got this down. Yeah, you do.

00:20It was awesome. Crowd was awesome. Good time.

00:22Good. That sounds like it's warm out there.

00:24Oh, it's hot. It ain't warm. It's hot.

00:30Okay. So this is not the only job that you have. You are a man who wears many hats, Dylan Scott.

00:35Yeah. I'm a husband. And a daddy.

00:42And you and your brother own things together.

00:45So my brother and I own a coffee shop together.

00:49Yeah. We just opened it a few months ago. It's doing awesome.

00:52Him and my sister-in-law are crushing it.

00:54So tell everybody what the name of it is so that when you go to Nashville.

00:57Yeah. When you come to Nashville, go to see Drips Coffee Shop.

01:00It's in Hendersonville right outside of town.

01:02So we got that.

01:03Is that your nickname? Is that like what your parents used to call you and your brother growing up?

01:06No. No. No. Not Drips. I don't think so. I've got a garbage business too.

01:12Yes. You do.

01:13So during COVID, I started a residential trash company with my buddy from back home.

01:20Yeah.

01:21And really just kind of started like, hey, we can do that.

01:23And started with a truck and a trailer.

01:24And now we've got four real garbage trucks with like men hanging off the back of me.

01:29Yeah.

01:30We've got 5,000 houses.

01:31Wow.

01:32Rocking and rolling in the garbage business.

01:34Yeah.

01:35Have you ever like done it?

01:36Have you ever driven the truck?

01:37I have.

01:38Well, I'm not going to drive the truck because I don't have a CDO license.

01:41Good.

01:42So that would be illegal.

01:43I'm going to drive the truck.

01:44But I've hung off the back of it.

01:59So, I mean, that's pretty cool that you are blessed to have this amazing talent that you

02:08And then from that, you're able to, you know, like go into business with your brother

02:12and your best friend and help their dreams come true.

02:15Because I bet your friend was like, I've always wanted a trash business.

02:18Well, I mean, he was the one talking about it.

02:20He was like, man, my trash service sucks.

02:21Well, fix it, you know?

02:22Yeah.

02:23Do something about it.

02:24But I was just, look, I was at the right place at the right time.

02:26And I'm a firm believer.

02:28And if you put your mind to something, you can do whatever you want to do.

02:31Yeah.

02:32And so I told myself, we can start a trash film.

02:34And so we did.

02:35And my brother and I, we were out in LA and we was at a coffee shop and he just kept,

02:38he knows coffee.

02:39I don't know coffee.

02:40I know I like it, you know?

02:41Yeah.

02:42But he just kept going on and on and on about coffee.

02:44He was in this coffee shop.

02:45I was like, well, let's have our own coffee shop.

02:47You know?

02:48I was like, we can do this.

02:49He's like, are you serious?

02:50Like, yeah.

02:51That's so cool.

02:52Yeah.

02:53You're a doer.

02:54I appreciate that.

02:55Cause we're not all like that.

02:56Right?

02:58And I got three kids.

02:59So you know, I'm a doer.

03:29Oppenheimer is like, they were the two really big movies this summer.

03:33Um, I don't know what that is so I'll just go Barbie.

03:39When I brush my teeth in the morning times and I get real far back on my tongue cause

03:43I gotta have to clean the tongue so my breath will sink.

03:45Yeah.

03:46I gag every time.

03:47So that's appreciate it.

03:48Uh, would you rather have a slow car or fast bike?

03:55Worst experience on stage?

03:56I fell off the stage earlier this year for the first time in my 10 year career doing

04:03this, which is kind of crazy because the stage was set up weird and the club had no idea

04:08doing it.

04:09So I was blinded by the light and when I went to step, there was nothing there.

04:12Ugh.

04:13I went straight at it.

04:14So great, great press by the way.

04:17I should fall off the stage more often.

04:19Fantastic.

04:20Yeah.

04:21But no, don't.

04:23I was bruised.

04:24That sounds horrible.

04:28Would you rather have the ability to read people's minds or move things with your mind?

04:39I feel like I can do that already.

05:00So do you use the bathroom or do you sneak behind the bushes in the backyard?

05:11First of all, we've all been there.

05:12So, I mean, I've done it.

05:15I was like, I wasn't me.

05:22What are you going to, if you go to the bushes, like what are you going to wipe with?

05:36I mean, I feel like we wake up every day wanting to do better, right?
