Sammi got a really sketch tattoo on a recent trip back home to West Virginia.

00:04you disappointing your parents this is kind of what we do amy i mean we say it as a joke but

00:10we've also at several occasions in our lives made our parents very disappointed in us and i think

00:16today is going to be your day today is my day i think i've made them really really proud up to

00:21this point this could be the the turning point this is where bad girl sammy comes out by the

00:26way uh amy's off today sammy's in um so you uh you had an extended vacation to west virginia back

00:34where you're from i did and um tell us what you did while you were there so i love the sun like as far

00:44as symbols go like i love sun i love the sunshine i try to live every day trying to be the sunshine

00:50okay and this has been a specifically rough year to be that yeah and live by that so i had my

00:56extended staycation at home and i was like you know it'd be so cool to just kind of get a little

01:04reminder of that like i am sunshine okay i am and so i she is sunshine i'm sunshine okay okay i'm trying

01:15to be and i was like you know what i don't want to die without getting a tattoo like i i want at

01:23least one like i don't want to die and say i never did that so okay now when when people say i'm just

01:27going to get one tattoo i'm going to get one this one's going to count they will particularly go and

01:33make it a big event they will they will do their research they will find someone that's great at

01:39tattooing they will make sure it's a design that's great and it's going to stand the test of time make

01:44sure it's safe because it can be kind of weird getting a tattoo uh 725-246-1027 by the way if

01:50there's a tattoo that you might regret now she doesn't regret this tattoo but it's i think it's

01:54how you okay so first of all how i got it you got a tattoo where it's not a tramp stamp um at a random

02:03fire department in the parking lot on where on your body oh um on my middle finger she is

02:14sunshine but but you know what if i need to not be you can turn it very good that's great all right

02:23so tell us how you got this because it is probably the most west virginian way you could have gotten

02:28a tattoo it's about as close as you can get to a prison tattoo without having gone it is and i i love

02:34the backstory behind it because it's so west virginia and and i'm born and raised west virginian so

02:39it's perfect um i obviously didn't do any research or look for anybody specific to do my tattoo i was

02:47presented with the opportunity oh um just to randomly get it so long as i bought the disposable razors at

02:56a gas station to get it done so wait you bought your so on these are the razors like he didn't have

03:03to shave this was actually going to be used to tattoo you okay okay yeah yeah yeah so i stopped

03:11at the gas station on the way to the fire department i purchased my disposable razors i don't think i bought

03:17the best ones though um i should have splurged a little bit and um gotten some better ones because

03:24i've had this tattoo now for six weeks i think about six weeks and um it used to be

03:30it used to have like eight rays and now it has like four it looks can we can we yeah the sun is

03:38starting to set on your finger it's so sad it looks like i'm in kindergarten and like drew with a pin on

03:45it and it's like coming off it's like 2 p.m and i'm about to go home but i've washed my hands like

03:49six times so it's like coming off i i will say that is a perfectly accurate description but you don't

03:56regret it i don't regret it i'm gonna get it touched up by him by the same guy yeah you fool

04:03i'm so not going anywhere professional i have to keep the story authentic no no that's not oh no this

04:08is not italian food get it done right no i'm this far in it's permanent parts of it will stay forever

04:16i'm sure tattoos you regret 725-246-1027 she doesn't regret it today but she will she will i will sam's mom

04:25it is hi sam how's sam's mom how are you i am good how are you doing very well so you've been

04:33oh you know you're you're there you're very proud of your daughter just roaming around west virginia

04:37uh you had an appointment with an insurance policy person today yes i did and we listened to the

04:43whole show oh very nice you heard everything right pardon did you hear everything including

04:50you know or the new addition to your daughter yes i did what are your thoughts on a middle finger

04:56tattoo on your sweet daughter well i think when i fly out to vegas that we need to have that

05:05touched up by a reputable person and i may get one to pass oh my gosh wow i was not expecting that

05:14oh man i love that be the sunshine that's what i've told her her whole life she is the sunshine

05:22and i want to be that way too so we need to get them to match by someone that does it legitimate yeah

05:28not razors at a freaking fire firehouse in west virginia i think it gives it a little spice

05:34that has made me wonder about her sanity why in the world in a fire uh department parking lot with

05:45a razor would you do that i mean that is really the question here i think i think it's less about

05:51the tattoo and how it happened yes i don't understand sam do you have any i know you did

05:59you're beth you've done a great job well you did a great job until vegas ruined her

06:03although she did it in west virginia what do you have to say for yourself sam i think

06:08it's a dang good story and i'm glad i did it but now it's time to clean it up oh my word

06:14if that would have gotten infected you may have lost your middle finger if it would have gotten

06:19infected then how would you tell people what to do in traffic how would i tell anybody what to do

06:25you know if that's the worst she does i've raised a dang good daughter i totally agree

06:30sam is very very sweet we love i was really afraid i know i've always been told if i ever

06:35got one i'd have to sleep on the porch well well now i thought you shared everything with me

06:41but evidently not oh no i have radio radio but i seriously am i'm serious about when i come out

06:52let's go get it touched up i'll pay for it and i'll get she almost cried when you said that i gotta be

06:57honest she was very very touched by that oh well you know i'm 57 almost 58 it's about time i get a

07:06little tattoo nice see yeah you don't wanna you don't you don't want to miss out on that experience

07:12in life well and the thing about that one is you can wear a ring and nobody even knows that's how

07:18i've hidden it from you for two months i know i knew that when you did that i was like she wore a ring

07:25while she was here

07:26she's sneaky yeah that was no that was like that's pretty smart thank you

07:35beth we're gonna let you go i love talking to you though great to talk to you
