HMS Prince of Wales will be taking charge of the UK Carrier Strike Group and be deployed to the Indo-Pacific region for eight months, visiting Japan, Australia and elsewhere. She is due to return this Christmas. Various military operations will be carried out, as well as diplomatic visits. It has been described by the UKCSG Commander as the biggest deployment this century in terms of capability.
