A 26-year-old man has died after falling into Taichung's Dajia River in central Taiwan while fishing. He was pronounced dead at a hospital after a three-hour search-and-rescue operation by emergency services.

00:11First responders searched the area with drones for three hours, finding him with no signs of life.

00:19Daja River is the fifth longest in Taiwan, and it is known for having strong currents.
