00:00an Easter Sunday feast to finish the weekend in Ligue 1 Saint Etienne and Lyon going head-to-head

00:09in the most passionate derby in the French game and this one of course hugely important at both

00:17ends of the table Saint Etienne fighting to avoid relegation and Lyon fighting for a place in the

00:25Champions League next season come here tonight on the back of that defeat against Manchester United

00:32in an incredible Nade just important for Saint Etienne to keep cool heads as well of course

00:43Leo Petro cross it it's a good one header from Stassan and the Belgian put Saint Etienne in front

01:01but look at what that means he's in brilliant form and he wasn't really picked up in the penalty box

01:08Leo Petro with the cross Stassan just left alone it was Moussa Niakate who seemed to be drawn towards

06:08been struck by something which is not good news

06:20well let's hope there is uh no blood drawn here

06:32exactly the kind of thing that we do not want to see and the Saint Etienne players are just

06:37looking towards their fans on that side and calling on them to calm down a bit because if

06:43something has been thrown at the assistant referee well that is uh pretty awful

06:49the referee appears to be calling a halt to the game here

07:02it's a bit of confusion about uh exactly what is the decision by the referee it looks like he's

07:11taking everybody off the pitch and uh we'll try to get some clarity on this

07:16but uh it looks like a pretty uh categorical decision by the referee the first half is not finished we uh

07:25should now be into stoppage time at the end of the half and there should be several minutes of that so

07:30and that would suggest that this is not a case of the first half being stopped early but

07:47i'm gonna have to try and find out exactly uh

07:57what the officials decide to do

08:00and we will keep you up to date as swiftly as possible

08:14so why the players have come off the pitch now let's see this again keep an eye on the assistant

08:18referee on the left hand side and something is thrown it looks like probably a coin

08:21and you can see his reaction there you can see at the impact now let's hope there's no blood drawn but

08:29that is for the assistant referee it's the leon player who was getting ready to take the throw

08:35on the far side perhaps he was the intended target either way it doesn't matter and uh that is why the

08:42referee was swift in his decision to take the teams off the pitch and let's see if they come back out

08:51which will now restart Mehdi Ramouni the assistant referee who was struck by that object

09:04able to retake his place on the far side and the game will begin again in the final seconds of the

09:12first 45 minutes we will then have added time understand about four minutes of that

09:21and then it will be half time

09:39and the game restarting with a leon throw abner vinicius taking it leon trailing one nil

09:46the substitute and uh there is the halftime whistle

09:52so there's the halftime whistle as we just heard almost five more minutes of the first half

10:09and it's leon who get us underway then in the second half of the derby

10:13and it has already been a pretty remarkable affair saint etienne were superb in that first half before

10:22the game was halted a long delay almost the length of the first half itself 45 minutes stoppage

10:31the final few minutes of the half played out but saint etienne lead one nil leon have offered very little

10:42lacazette is in looking to go around larsenaire from the angle too high for kumbedi it was in the

10:49middle hans is gone well nevertheless this is better from leon the start of the second half lacazette was in an
