'Dixiana' is a "1930 pre-Code musical film" directed by Luther Reed and produced by RKO Radio Pictures. Set in antebellum New Orleans, the film follows "Dixiana Caldwell", a circus performer who falls in love with a Southern aristocrat, Carl Van Horn. When her background causes scandal among his family, she is forced to return to New Orleans, where she becomes entangled with a scheming gambler. With "lavish costumes, early Technicolor sequences, and lively musical numbers", this film captures the grandeur of early Hollywood musicals.
