Two people were killed and five others injured in a shooting at Florida State University (FSU) in Tallahassee, campus police have confirmed.

A suspect is in custody in connection with the incident, according to a spokesperson for the local police department.

Authorities have identified the suspect as Phoenix Ikner, a 20-year-old FSU student and the son of a Leon County sheriff's deputy.
