00:44Tell them a little bit about yourself. What do you do?

00:47Okay, so I'm 22.

00:49I'm going to school to be an ultrasound tech.

00:51I'm almost done.

00:53So, yes, super exciting.

00:55I just moved down here from Michigan.

00:57Oh, you did?

00:58Not even a year ago.

00:59Yeah, so I'm pretty new to the area.

01:23So, my first question was, okay, so when you first started writing music, I feel like country

01:26music was so different.

01:28And how, like, it's come along now.

01:31How do you feel?

01:31Like, do you like the changes country music has?

01:34Or do you feel like?

01:35Well, you know, we used to write raps, but we didn't think the world was ready for it

01:39back then.

01:41The country world.

01:42Yeah.

01:43It's really crazy to see.

01:44I mean, who in the world ever would, you know, I mean, there's so many different flavors

01:49of country music that there's something for everybody, but, I mean, there's no way that

01:54you would ever, who could ever have dreamed you'd see Steven Tyler cutting a country record?

01:58Ever.

01:59Or Nelly doing a country song.

02:01Or you just can't make it up, you know?

02:04Bon Jovi being on country radio.

02:06We call him Ban Jovi.

02:08Sheryl Crow did a country record.

02:10I mean, I love it.

02:11I love where country music is because I feel like there's room for everyone.

02:15Now, let me ask you this.

02:17An ultrasound technician.

02:19Can you eat something and, like, practice on yourself and go, oh, there's the steak,

02:23there's the baked potato?

02:24Actually, if you're doing, like, an abdominal scan, you're supposed to fast.

02:28Oh, you are?

02:29You tell your patients, like, to not eat for, like, eight hours.

02:31Okay.

02:31But you've never taken it and, like, searched for it yourself?

02:34I wouldn't be able to see anything.

02:35Oh, you wouldn't?

02:35It just looked, like, nasty.

02:36That would be the fun out of it for me.

02:38That's got to be tough on the baby, man.

03:39That's why I wanted to be a songwriter.

03:41And now you're going to think about that every time you're doing a songwriter.
