Rose cannot accept the fact that her daughter Sharon is dying from a fatal illness. Under pressure from her husband, she leaves home with her daughter, hoping to find someone who can better treat her. While on her way, she enters a portal that transports her to the deserted town of Silent Hill After a car accident, Rose wakes up to find her daughter Sharon missing in Silent Hill. Rose pursues what she believes is her daughter across the city. She later discovers that the city is unlike any place she has ever been. It is inhabited by strange creatures and evils that turn everything they touch to their side. The remaining humans in this area are fighting a losing battle against the evil in the city
