00:00How do young Europeans think polarization is reshaping their public and private conversations?
00:10From mainstream politics to everyday conversations, issues like migration, war, gender equality and the economy increasingly spark controversy.
00:21In Italy, France and Germany, France are the confidence of choice for political discussions.
00:27Denmark is the exception, with 49% of people talking primarily with parents.
00:32That's what a study of 2,000 people aged between 18 and 35 from Denmark, France, Germany, Italy and Poland revealed.
00:42A strong majority view politicians, social media and traditional media as central forces that are fracturing society.
00:49From 39% in Denmark to 82% in Germany, better education is considered the cornerstone of social cohesion.
00:58However, addressing economic inequalities is also strongly seen as a possible solution for reducing societal divisions.
01:05In Germany, 50% of respondents said this was the case, while the total in Italy was at 48%.
01:1341% of Danish respondents admit to having their political opinions affected by fake news generated by AI.
01:21Meanwhile, three-quarters of Italian, French and Polish participants say their opinions remain unaffected by AI output.
