"No rays of noise" was the second album by German prog psych folk band Gurnemanz. Basic psych tinged acoustic folk, with strummed acoustic guitar sound, with the beautiful and peaceful voice although not wide ranging of Manuela Schmitz that fit perfectly in the pastoral acoustic folkish general atmosphere, with large use of flute, kazoos, mandolin, bouzouki, banjo and tin whistle. The impression is quite in the edge of Fairport and Steeleye Span. The first album was all sang in German while "No rays of noise" was mostly sang in English.
Manuela Schmitz - vocals, tin whistle, percussion, recorder, kazzo. Lukas W. Scheel - guitar, vocals, mandolin, banjo. Wolfgang Riedel - guitar, vocals, percussion, harmonica, bouzouki, flute, kazoo.
