00:00Netflix has just acquired the rights to Fixed, a film by Genndy Tartakovsky that had been shelved by Warner.

00:07Tartakovsky, best known as the creator of Samurai Jack, also worked on the original animated Star Wars, the Clone Wars series.

00:16The film is a co-production between Warner, New Line, and Sony Pictures.

00:20The project was completed in 2023 and features a voice cast including Adam Devine and Catherine Han.

00:26However, Warner Bros. CEO David Zaslav pulled the plug on the film around the same time he cancelled Batgirl and Coyote vs. Acme.

00:37Despite all three films being finished, Warner shelved them to cut costs related to release and marketing.

00:43Sony eventually regained the rights and has since been seeking a buyer.

00:48Netflix has now picked up the project, according to The Wrap.
