Biden speaks out on Trump: 'So much damage and so much destruction'

Former U.S. President Joe Biden, speaking for the first time since he lost the presidency earlier this year, slammed the Trump administration over social security.  "In fewer than 100 days, this new administration has made so much, done so much damage and so much destruction. 00:14They've taken a hatchet to the Social Security Administration, pushing an additional 7,000

00:20employees, 7,000, out the door in that time, including the most seasoned career officials.

00:27Now they're getting ready to push thousands more out the door.

00:33Already we can see the effects.

00:34For example, thousands of people use the Social Security website every single day to check

00:40on their benefits and submit their claims.

00:43But now, the Technology Division of the Social Security Administration has been cut in half.

00:51And so the website's crashing.

00:54People can't sign onto their accounts.

00:57What do you think it does to that woman living alone, that 74-year check-in, just not able

01:05to even find out whether she can't even find out what that disability claim is she has?

01:11She can't file a new disability claim.

01:13And a lot of these people are being told incorrectly because their benefits have ended.

01:20Folks, imagine the panic that causes.
