00:00Hi guys and welcome to DriveSpark. I am Prameet and what you see over here is the all new Skoda Kodiak. Now this is the third generation and what you see over here is the Sportline edition. No chrome, it's all piano black finish at the front. You get the grill that is all finished in piano black.
00:29Then you have the headlight unit over here. That's a full Skoda crystal lighting. You have the Skoda crystal lighting badge over here. It's a full LED headlight. That is your cornering light and as well I think that's a fog light. You get a new bumper. That's a sporty bumper with air ducts at the side. That's your radar for your level 2 A dash. That is the camera that works in sync with this and you get a typical Skoda hood in the front with these lines and creases that you have been seeing on Skoda cars since a very long time.
00:59Skoda badging right over here but there is one thing that you do not get. You can see over here this thing looks like a camera but this is a dummy. So I think there is no 360 degree in the Sportline edition.
01:12When you move to the side that is how the alloy wheel looks like. Now it's an 18 inch alloy wheel dual tone diamond cut alloy wheel. Looks really nice. You get body cladding but you get body cladding over here. You get a little bit of cladding on the side that is on the side skirts.
01:28And you have the Sportline badging right over here. Now I can show you what is under the hood. So yeah. So that is a 2 litre TSI petrol engine and that is not a new engine but it now produces more power.
01:43It produces around 201 bhp of power and around 320 mm of peak torque. It's made it to a 7 speed DSG gearbox. As far as ground clearance is concerned it gets around 155 mm of ground clearance which is pretty decent.
01:56But for an SUV it is slightly on the lower side but I don't think there should be a problem with that. You have gloss black ORVM with an integrated indicator right over here.
02:06Now everything is finished in piano black. You can see that the roof rail is also finished in piano black. Now you have a big panoramic sunroof. Obviously this part opens up and that is your shark fin antenna.
02:20Now if you come to the rear section that is how the tail light looks like. It is again a wrapped around tail light. And again it's a full LED unit. That is the 4x4 badging. That's the Skoda badging. And over here I think. Okay I'll just ask my colleague to go hit the brakes. Abhishek can you just hit the brake.
02:38Okay. So I think it's not a connected tail light. But you have a high stop mount light over here. Then you have a spoiler right over here. Wiper with a washer. Then you have the Kodiak badging over here. And this gets an electronic tailgate.
02:50So this gets an electronic tailgate. And this is a seven seater as I mentioned. You have two seats over here. That seat is folded. The second row is a 60-40 split. This is a 50-40 split. You can obviously fold this thing down and pull this back up again.
03:05With the third row up you have very decent amount of storage for I think four cabin bags. If you fold this down. Then you have a lot of storage space. As usual Skoda is known for their boots.
03:17So that is how you fold the seat down. And that is how you pull it back up. It gets adjustable headrest. And there you go. You have some want of place to keep your tools underneath. Boot light on either side. That looks again very nice.
03:33And since it's an electric tailgate. You just press this. And it will close automatically. Now let us move on the inside.
03:40So yeah. That is how the car looks. The door. I mean this is the Sportline. So you get mix and match of leather and Alcantara.
03:48So the door liner is obviously softest module. It's finished in Alcantara. You can see you get ambient lighting right over here.
03:53Brushed aluminium right over here. And that is your window controls. That is to open release the boot.
03:59That is how the cabin looks like. Since this is the Sportline version. You get these bucket type seats. And this has Alcantara and leather over here.
04:10So a lot of things have changed on the inside as well. Now let us move on the inside. A lot of storage space as you can see.
04:18Okay. So this is how the key of the new Kodiak looks like. Pretty premium key I must say.
04:26And to start the car obviously you have a start stop button right over here. So you press this. And there you go. That is your 10.25 inch cluster.
04:38And that's your obviously this is a 12.9 almost a 13 inch cluster over here. A lot of things have changed on the previous Kodiak.
04:45The centre tunnel is different now. Then you also have Alcantara finish on the dashboard.
04:51And yeah. That is one section. Again. This is the second cubby hole. Ambient lighting running all over.
04:59And I think you can change it. You have mood lighting. That is. You can choose according to whatever you need.
05:06You have a Canton surround sound system. That is again very very nice. You have a floating 12.9 inch infotainment system.
05:12Then you have an auto dimming IRVM. You have a touch based button for your sunroof. That's a panoramic sunroof.
05:21And yeah. That's how the front section of the car looks like. You have your two zone climate control.
05:26You have a three zone climate control. The third zone is right here. In the front you have a separate like a zone for the passenger zone for the driver.
05:32And you can set your temperature accordingly. Now you have a display as well on the temperature knob on either side.
05:38And if you can see the AC vents are very neatly integrated on all sides.
05:43So yeah. That is how the front end of the new Skoda Kodiak Sportline looks like.
05:49Okay. That is the three spoke steering wheel. You have the Sportline badging right over here.
05:53Then you have the Skoda badging. Again typical Skoda steering mounted controls and the steering wheel are adjustable for tilt and telescopic.
06:04But one thing that is pretty different is now you don't get the gear lever over here.
06:09This is where you get the gear levers. Okay. So there you go. D once again. S neutral reverse.
06:16There you go. That's how the camera looks like. You have wrapped up guidelines.
06:20But you don't get a 360 degree camera all around. And to park it you just have to press this button.
06:26You get paddle shifters over here. Well once again the cabin is very very sporty.
06:30Let us move to the second row.
06:35So that is how the second row looks like. It is not reclined and that side is reclined.
06:39So if you want to recline it just do this. And you have three adjustable headrests.
06:44Then you have your armrest. And that is your third zone climate control right over there.
06:49Well this is a part of the accessory. This is a phone holder. You can also get your entertainment screen over here from Skoda.
06:55Again you have magazine holders. You have a phone holder. And that is how the door pad looks like.
07:00You have your privacy curtain right over there. But you do not get any sunshade over here.
07:06Well again it's best suited for children. And this seat can be moved manually.
07:14And can also be reclined. So yeah. That was the Skoda Kodiak Sportline Edition.
07:23And if you talk about the pricing well the car is not yet launched.
07:26But we can definitely expect this to be priced somewhere between the 38 to 40 lakh rupees mark egg showroom.
07:32And again once again this is a fantastic car. You get it in seven color options.
07:36Especially this one and the red one with the all blacked out accents.
07:40They look absolutely fantastic.
