Hairless, Starving Dog Transforms Into A Teddy Bear Four Years Later

He's such a chunky bear now!  Prue told us about how Charlie's former family was completely unbothered by his condition, and how he accidentally found his way into her house one day!

00:00Charlie was reported to us from another rescuer. He was a skeleton, hairless, he

00:08had a broken leg. The disturbing thing is he had an owner and they just watched

00:12and they weren't too bothered. So nighttime fell and the rescuer was there

00:16with the dog catcher and they were able to get Charlie into a cage and straight

00:21to the clinic where he started his treatment. He just looked at me with these

00:27big brown eyes. What is going on? You are so beautiful. I've got a back section in my

00:34home where they can decompress and just get used to the environment and I

00:38accidentally left the back door open. He'd gone to the furthest point of the

00:45house that he could and that's when we had our first real meeting. I think when

00:49he starts eating we realize that I'm one of the good ones. I tried to make him

00:54comfortable and I brought his food in and a bed. He just looked at the bed and

00:59chose to sleep next to it. Charlie's having his first bath. You're not loving it.

01:05You start to work out who's who and what's going on. Look at that. You're

01:09wagging your tail. And he started to understand when that door opened it was

01:13feeding time and that was a good thing. Finally got Mr. Charlie out. Good boy,

01:19Charlie. The way I bonded with him was taking him for walks. You could just see

01:24the smile on his face. You could just see he was coming to life. I was in love but

01:30you could tell he was in love and he was happy. Yeah, what else? Do you know what

01:35that means Charlie? I need to adopt it Charlie. We got a special cake for him to

01:40celebrate with his new siblings. They're all very very excited. But Charlie got

01:46first taste of the cake. He loved that cake. Four years on Charlie is the

01:52chunkiest, sweetest, most magical being you could ever meet. He's just awesome.
