Recommended tempo for this piece is 60 bpm. The dynamics tend to change suddenly - from piano (soft) to forte (loud) and this needs to be kept in mind when practising.
A good legato (smooth) touch is generally best, with occasional staccato (detached) notes once in a while, as marked in the music. Be careful to play the right hand melody in such a way that it sings out above the left hand part. (which is just an accompaniment) There is always a risk of the left hand accompanying part overpowering the right hand melody in these types of pieces.
