00:14Liftoff.
00:17New Shepard has cleared the tower.
00:26Do you have a message for your family in this moment?
00:31It's okay.
00:32Yeah, no stress.
00:35I'm going to be very emotional this weekend, of course.
00:38Yeah, it's an emotional thing.
00:40It's a big journey.
00:41It's huge.
00:44My message is that I love them.
00:53And I can tell you've got so much love in your heart,
00:58and I appreciate you sharing that with me, especially in this moment.
01:02Take all the time you want.
01:03The message of my family is that I love them so much, and I'm so full of love,
01:07and I am so grateful to be representing a fearless female in my family,
01:15which is a domino effect for my mom, for my sister, and definitely something I feel for my daughter.
01:21And the significance here of the bell, and I should note before I have you explain that,
01:30each crew names themselves, they have named themselves the six taking up space,
01:35as each one is ringing a bell, and the significance of that is what, Ariana?
01:39Big part of your life, of course, is your daughter.
01:59Daisy, I want to know, does she kind of have a concept of what's happening,
02:03or like, what are your feelings around sharing this with her?
02:05I mean, she's four and a half, so she's still trying to figure out what day of the week it is.
02:10Sure.
02:10But it is very normal, you know, for us to talk about mommy going to space now,
02:14and I will be so excited to hold her when I land.
02:19Astronauts as safe as possible, for as long as possible.
02:22Of course it'll be safe when they actually get in there.
02:24What are you taking with you to space?
02:26I'm taking bracelets that represent the pillars of my foundation that I started with my sister,
02:32called the Firework Foundation.
02:33I'm bringing almost 300 of them so that I can bring them back home
02:36for the sixth, seventh, and eighth graders that get to come to Camp Firework.
02:39They're going to be so excited.
02:40They're going to be very excited.
02:41It's really for those kids to inspire them as well,
02:44to never put limitations on their dreams.
02:47I'm going to be bringing a daisy, a real-life daisy from the earth,
02:52to remind us that, you know, the earth is very precious.
02:57Even you took us into mission control yesterday,
03:00and just meeting, there's 10,000 employees here at Blue Origin.
03:02One of my favorites was Mae Jemison, the first black woman into space,
03:08and she made a very clear point.
03:11She's like, there's going to be lots of emotions on,
03:13I want to say game day, on launch day.
03:16It is game day, game day.
03:18On launch day.
03:20But as you can see, she's got tears in her eyes
03:22for the least amount of time.
03:24So we keep it, we keep it fast.
03:27We keep holding.
