00:00Pope Francis made a brief appearance in St. Peter's Square on Sunday, greeting crowds

00:19Unlike the previous week, his first public outing since being discharged, the Pope was
00:24no longer receiving oxygen through a nasal cannula.
00:27The 88-year-old was released from hospital on March 23 after a five-week stay for a lung
00:33infection that doctors said nearly claimed his life.
00:37Advised to rest for two months, the pontiff initially remained out of sight.
00:42But in a possible sign of improving health, he made four unannounced appearances over the
00:47past week, including a brief meeting with Britain's King Charles and Queen Camilla.
00:53It remains unclear how involved he will be in the upcoming Holy Week, the most demanding
00:58and significant period in the Catholic liturgical calendar.
