00:00Hello there, welcome to your latest Met Office weather forecast.
00:03Well, the week ahead is going to be a mixed bag, and that's really how we're going to end this weekend.
00:08For most of us, we start the night with plenty of showers around,
00:12but for a good chunk of England and Wales, actually, it will turn drier and clearer as the night goes on.
00:17The main focus of the showers overnight will be across parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland,
00:20with, again, some of the showers of a wintry nature across the high ground of Scotland.
00:24And they will start to return to, for the far west of Wales, maybe parts of Devon and Cornwall,
00:29as we approach dawn.
00:31But where we do see the clearer skies across the east, we will see a touch of frost as we start Monday morning.
00:36But it's here where we will see the day off on a fairly bright and sunny note.
00:40And actually, for much of East Anglia and parts of south-eastern England,
00:44it will remain fine and dry right throughout the day.
00:47Elsewhere, we will be seeing this area of rain working its way northward,
00:50so quite a miserable day to come across parts of eastern Scotland,
00:53down into north-west England and Wales, maybe parts of Devon and Cornwall also seeing that rain.
00:58And to the west of the rain band, a mixture of sunshine and scattered showers.
01:03Temperatures tomorrow for most in the north, generally reaching the low double figures,
01:08maybe a few spots reaching 13 or 14 degrees.
01:11But down towards the south-east, where we do see the sunshine feeling a little bit warmer compared to today,
01:16could see highs reaching around 19 or 20 degrees.
01:20Into the evening now, as we continue with this area of rain, it will weaken a little bit.
01:24But at the same time, we're keeping a close eye on the risk of some heavy pulses of rain working their way across eastern parts.
01:29Could even hear the odd rumble of thunder in places.
01:33The clearest of the skies will be across Northern Ireland and Western Scotland again,
01:36but even here, we'll continue the risk of some showers.
01:39But for most of us, with the cloud cover in place, a milder night compared to the upcoming night,
01:45with some places maybe even staying into double figures.
01:48But overall, on Tuesday, for a lot of England, Wales and Scotland, this can be a bit of a cloudy picture.
01:53Further pulses of rain developing as the day goes on.
01:56Some of us actually may well stay fairly dry.
01:59With, come the afternoon, maybe the focus of some heavier rain across Wales.
02:03Best of the sunshine, once again, will be across Western Scotland, Northern Ireland,
02:06where we continue that mix of sunshine and scattered showers.
02:11Temperatures on Tuesday in the north, fairly similar to what we see on Monday,
02:15but certainly down a couple of degrees further south and east you are.
02:19And then a quick look at the rest of the week ahead.
02:22It is, as I said, going to be fairly changeable.
02:25Most of us are seeing some further rain at times,
02:26but there will be some sunnier interludes from time to time too.
02:30But you can find out the weather details where you are
02:32as we head towards the Easter weekend on our website and our app.
02:35But from me for now, take care and I'll see you again soon.
