00:00Incredibly troubling story and as someone who lives in Greater Manchester and is a Greater Manchester MP,
00:05the connection to the arena bombing, it's a very emotive issue.
00:10Clearly, first of all, thoughts have got to be with the officers affected and their families.
00:14This will be an incredibly difficult time, but there'll have to be a proper investigation,
00:19a police investigation into what has happened, what we've got to be ensuring at all times.
00:23We're doing everything to keep any public sector worker, particularly in sensitive areas like prisons,
00:28safe and secure, and we're going to need to respond to this when we have more information.
00:33Well, my thoughts are with the prison officers impacted.
00:36It's very worrying that we hear stories about prisoners running wings, taking control,
00:42and the prison officers not being in control of our prisons.
00:46So we obviously need to get to the bottom of the facts.
00:48There should be some inquiry as to what happened, how this dangerous, dangerous terrorist prisoner
00:53was ever in a position to be able to injure our brave prison officers.
