It was love at first sight ❤️ Watch this grieving goose get so protective of his new girlfriend! We spoke to Rhianna and Tracey, who told us about Lucky and Angel’s special bond and how Charlie’s Acres is dedicated to giving animals like them a safe, loving home!

00:02do you have a goose that you could let us take for our boy

00:05goose that he needs a friend?

00:06She was like, absolutely perfect goose.

00:08She really hasn't fit in here.

00:10You can do it.

00:11So when Lucky clumsily fell out of the pool to go see Angel,

00:14that was so funny.

00:16He immediately took her under his wing and was like, nope,

00:19she's mine.

00:23When we introduced Angel, he lit right back up.

00:26Don't worry, I'm not going to get closer to her.

00:28It's OK.

00:29He immediately took to his job.

00:32Ow.

00:34Ow.

00:36Right away, he was like telling the ducks, don't get any ideas.

00:40He just wants to make sure that Angel is safe

00:43and she's not nervous or anything.

00:45He's like, she's fine.

00:46You don't need to help her.

00:47She's OK.

00:49She's OK.

00:52Don't get mad at me.

00:54He's kind of fun police, I guess, which is really funny.

00:57Angel was super confident.

00:59And just fit right in immediately.

01:01They were like kindred spirits.

01:02It was so sweet.

01:03Geese mate for life.

01:05Socially, it's just really important for them to have that companionship

01:09and to have that protection.

01:10Animals come to Charlie's Acres and live out their full lives with us.

01:18And we hope that their stories become a piece of education for visitors to make them learn

01:24to try to be more empathetic with these animals and they all have personalities and unique stories.
