00:00You know, sometimes we base our peace in things, in people.
00:07When our homes are in harmony, when our relationships are intact,
00:12when everything seems to be going great, there's no chaos,
00:16there seems to be no negativity, we feel peace.
00:19But what do you do when everything is not going good?
00:23When you're dealing with a diagnosis of cancer,
00:26an estranged relationship, a broken marriage, a job loss, church hurt,
00:33all of these things, a betrayal, a rejection, there's so many things I can name,
00:37and you are struggling finding peace.
00:40Finding peace, feeling peace, pursuing peace, having peace is not always easy.
00:46And I remember a time, actually many times, when I have been in those what I call dark seasons.
00:52My husband and I have gone through many of them.
00:56And there's one season that I can think of off the top of my head right now where it was so bad.
01:03My anxiety level was a 10.
01:06I was crying.
01:07I was having panic attacks.
01:09It was unbelievable because it was constant, constant chaos.
01:13And I'll never forget.
01:14I will never forget this.
01:16I went into my prayer closet.
01:18I don't mean to cry here in recording and here I am crying,
01:21but I went into my prayer closet and I just said,
01:24God, I can't do this anymore.
01:28I can't do this anymore.
01:30I need you to step in and to help me, give me some kind of peace.
01:34Because my mom and dad taught me that no matter what you're going through,
01:38you can still feel peace.
01:39And as I began to pray and tears began to roll down my cheeks,
01:44I began to feel, I will give you peace.
01:47The path is all understanding.
01:50And I am not joking here.
01:52And overwhelming, it was like I was being rained on with peace.
01:55And I began to feel this peace.
01:58And I walked out of that prayer closet.
02:01Nothing had changed.
02:02Trimorial was still going on.
02:05Strife, division, tension, confusion, chaos.
02:08Everything was still going on.
02:10But I had peace.
02:12God's got me.
02:13God's got this.
02:14He's in control.
02:15And I'm reminded of the scripture, John, I believe it's 1427.
02:18I wrote it down here that I'm going to read in a minute.
02:20But Jesus was telling the disciples this because they were in turmoil.
02:25They were questioning the future.
02:27They were worried because Jesus was getting ready to be crucified,
02:30was going to believe in them.
02:31And they were all kind of fearful and apprehensive about it taking place.
02:35And he told them this in John 14, 27.
02:39Let me read it to you.
02:40Peace I leave with you.
02:42My peace I give you.
02:44I do not give peace as the world does.
02:48Do not let your heart be troubled.
02:51And do not be afraid.
02:52So I just wanted to encourage you, wherever you are in life, ladies.
02:56I know life is hard.
02:57We say it all the time.
02:58Life is hard.
02:59Life is hard.
03:00God is good.
03:01Life is hard.
03:02God is faithful.
03:03I encourage you to get into your prayer closet.
03:06To get into the word of God.
03:08And to let the scriptures soothe your soul.
03:11If you're struggling with anxiety and you feel no peace, pursue it.
03:15Be intentional about pursuing peace.
03:17God can give you peace that passes all understanding.
03:21So be encouraged.
03:22You will get through this.
03:24No matter what the outcome is, God gives us peace.
03:29Amen.
