00:05So the first thing I would say is if you go back and you look at that clip,

00:08didn't you get the sense that the Treasury Secretary was almost like the adult in the room

00:12saying, we have a child, don't retaliate, you're the grown-up,

00:18you have to make sure that you're acting in a mature manner?

00:20And I wonder if maybe the nations that didn't respond,

00:25and there were a couple that said we were going to sit and wait.

00:30And I wonder if maybe they were thinking maybe we'll just see if he'll actually follow through

00:36or if he'll do just what he did.

00:39And there had been, just a couple of days ago, there had been talk about a 90-day pause

00:44for a couple of hours before they say, no, no, that won't happen.

00:47But here we have it.

00:49It's almost, I wonder, now we can reverse engineer, right?

00:53We can look at this and we can say, this is what he's been saying all along.

00:57He's wanted people, and he mentioned this last night, to essentially come in and kiss the ring.

01:02And he wanted that to happen.

01:04And so now he can be, again, the man at the center of the storm

01:09who can listen to all the different countries that are approaching him.

01:13He can negotiate, but he can also say, this will happen or this won't.

01:18This is what he's built for.

01:20This is what he loves to do.
