00:43So, ito na nga, Jethro, paano ba magsimula bilang isang freelancer dito sa Pilipinas

00:48at ano yung mga hakbang na dapat gawin para makapagsimula sa freelancing?

00:53Actually po sa freelancing, your investment is you and the risk is you.

00:57So, kung mag-invest po tayo sa saliliin natin is number one thing to consider.

01:02But, considering yung Philippine situation natin ngayon, it's marami mga constraint pagdating sa mga resources natin, pagdating sa pagsistart ng freelancing.

01:12Sabi ng iba, kailangan doon ng capital.

01:14Actually, yung kailangan mo is Wi-Fi, kuryente, tubig, and then bahay mo okay na yun.

01:20And then laptop, of course, is something that you want to consider.

01:23So, if you want to really start freelancing, kailangan magsisimula ka muna on what specific niche yung kailangan mo matutunan.

01:32Ibig sabihin ng niche is giving specific services to specific clients.

01:37Kailangan specific so that you can market your service to the right clients and they will pay you higher.

01:44So, one of the recommendation, number one, is to invest in yourself.

01:48Anong niche ang kailangan nyong pag-aralan?

01:50Number two is, ano yung mga resources na meron kayo na pwede nyong gamitin so that you can market yourself and your service?

01:58Ito. Well, ano ba yung mga trabaho or skills na in-demand sa freelancing ngayon?

02:04Meron akong top three dito.

02:06Yung first one would be video editing.

02:08Akma-akma siya sa mga millennials at Gen Z, especially if they want to have the creative side.

02:14Marami na kasing yung mga trabaho na napapalitan na ng AI.

02:19One of the examples would be graphic designer.

02:21So, we have to be adaptable in terms of those changes.

02:24Number two is, social media management and marketing.

02:28Very in-demand siya sa mga iba't-ibang mga bansa ng mga clients or even local here.

02:34As long as may business, as long as meron tayong mga teleprograms like this one,

02:39they need social media to manage it and we need social media to market ourself or even our services or products.

02:45So, akmang servisyo yung pagbibigay ng social media marketing and management.

02:49Number three would be, very suitable to.

02:51I think hindi siya mamamatay, which is virtual assistant.

02:55Sikat na sikat ito, especially sa mga moms na singles at wala silang mga trabaho

03:01or yung mga estudyante na parang gusto magkaroon ng side hustle.

03:05Virtual assistant is a perfect way for us to assist other business owners,

03:10assist corporations, or assist those coaches, realtors, as in, napakalawak niya.

03:17And that is something that anyone can learn,

03:19especially kung may corporate experience sila before or maalam sila sa digital medias or mga assets.

03:29Marami tayong mga ka-RSP na interesado dito sa freelancing.

03:32At talagang pumatok itong freelancing during the pandemic.

03:35Kasi yung mga tao nasa bahay lang,

03:36naghahanap ng mapagkakakitaan,

03:38hindi makalabas dahil nga doon sa virus.

03:40So, importante rin kasi sa freelancing yung credibility,

03:43para mas makakuha tayo ng client.

03:45So, paano mapapaganda o ma-enhance yung portfolio para ma-attract yung mga client?

03:51Actually, portfolio is not the only one na makakapagbigay sa'yo ng credibility.

03:57Sometimes you also have to decide

03:59ano yung, what type of brand yung pwede mong i-build.

04:03Now, there are two types of brand.

04:05The first one is the personal brand.

04:07And the second one is the business brand.

04:09So, pag personal brand, yung sariling mukha mo, yung ba-brand mo.

04:12I-mamarket mo sa social media.

04:14So, yung pangalan mo, that can affect your reputation,

04:17anong tinuturo mo, and stuff like that.

04:19Pag-business brand kasi, I think it's more applicable

04:21sa mga not individual freelancers, but corporations or yung mga ganyan.

04:26So, there's a different approach.

04:28The reason why I'm telling you guys na kailangan natin yung brand

04:32because the brand itself can market you.

04:35The brand itself can be the key

04:37para mismo yung mga clients yung lumapit sa'yo.

04:39Now, how can you increase your credibility?

04:42Number one is you increase credibility by posting

04:45and also being niche-specific.

04:48Kailangan specific ang topic mo?

04:49Ano yung offer mong service sa specific client na may specific problem?

04:54Number two, sa portfolio,

04:56ang pagpapakita nun yung mga works mo before sa mga clients mo.

04:59Pag wala ka pang work, I advise to give free samples

05:02or free videos sa mga coaches or mga entrepreneurs

05:06or mga small business owners.

05:07And pagdating sa portfolio, hindi lang yung pagandahan.

05:12Kailangan din, yung mga copywriting mo dun,

05:15dapat nime-message niya na how can you help the client?

05:19Paano mo masosolve yung problem na lang?

05:21Well, kung mga beginner pa lang na freelancer,

05:25ano ba yung usual struggle na mga nagsisumala pa lamang sa freelancing?

05:30I think the biggest mistake is they're afraid of failing.

05:34And if you're afraid of failing,

05:37hindi mo malalaman ano yung mga step-by-step na kailangan gawin,

05:41ano yung gusto ng client,

05:43or ano yung services na hindi saturated and stuff like that.

05:47I think most of the freelancers,

05:50they're too focused on perfectionism

05:53that actually stops them from making progress.

05:56I think there's no such thing as perfectionism,

05:59but rather you must fail forward

06:01so that you can find your own niche.

06:03When I was a content creator,

06:05kasi I started at 11.

06:07Hindi ako nag-start as a coach lang baglaan.

06:09Started off from gaming,

06:10naging vocal coach din ako,

06:12tapos nagtura ko na A and stuff like that.

06:14And nakita ko yung mga niche na hindi nag-work.

06:17And doon ako nag-evolve to find the right track,

06:20to find the right audience through failing forward.

06:23So, biggest struggle would be mistakes.

06:26Fear of making mistakes.

06:27Okay, so para doon sa ating mga interesado nga manonood noon,

06:29saan sila pwedeng makahanap ng project o client?

06:34Number one, I would recommend if you guys are Filipino,

06:37online jobs, PH.

06:38I think the tip there is to stand out in terms of your resume,

06:43especially the portfolio and also the headings,

06:46paano may mga market sa sarili mo.

06:48Hindi lang pwedeng,

06:48I'm an enthusiastic ka freelancer and stuff like that.

06:51You have to say,

06:52I 10 times result or I increase brand awareness by 500%, etc.

06:58So forth.

06:59I think next one would be outreaching.

07:02Kasi namin natin outreaching is like DMing,

07:04or nagdi-DM ka sa mga potential clients.

07:07That could be in Facebook,

07:08that could be in emails,

07:09or any social media platforms that you can connect with your clients,

07:13whether in local or international.

07:15Well, ganun naman pala.

07:17Well, dahil sa makabagong technology,

07:19nagkakaroon na ng expansion,

07:21nagkakaroon na ng mga opportunities na trabaho,

07:24maging nasa bahay ka lamang.

07:26So, yun.
