00:11from across the country met in Queensland this week. The 2025 meat

00:16processing and exporters conference at the Gold Coast has attracted more than

00:20350 delegates. Well I don't think we could have timed this conference any better

00:24after what we've seen in the last week. Clearly there are major changes afoot on

00:29the global trade landscape. Joe Hockey kicked off the plenary session today and

00:34then we had a series of trade experts give us their assessment on the future of

00:38trade. Our minds have shifted from almost the 10% tariff announced by Trump last

00:43week on Australian meat exports to really what this means for the global landscape.

00:48I think the one key message today was the rules-based global trading system that our

00:53industry has thrived on is really being fundamentally changed in front of us

00:59at a very fast pace.
