00:10Premier Cho Jungtai told reporters at Parliament on Tuesday that Taiwan is among Washington's trading partners seeking talks,

00:18and the government will present President Lai Ching-dae's proposals at an appropriate time.

00:23Before the 4th of June, there have been an appropriate plan to communicate with each other.

00:30So I hope that everyone will give us more time.

00:32We will be able to get time to compete with the world's countries.

00:36We will be able to compete with the right time.

00:38We will have a perfect plan, and we will be able to compete with the right.

00:43Cho declined to elaborate on the specifics of discussions with the United States,

00:48Taiwan's most critical international partner,

00:51despite the absence of formal diplomatic ties.

00:54On Sunday, President Lai proposed a zero-tariff regime with the U.S.,

01:00along with increased Taiwanese investment and the removal of trade barriers.

01:04Taiwan's Foreign Ministry expressed confidence that the proposed tariffs

01:09would not affect its relationship with Washington.
