Ford Ranger PHEV Price and Features

00:00Hi, I'm Tom Smith and I'm the product manager for the new Ranger P-EV and I'm going to tell
00:08you everything you need to know about it.
00:13There are four double cab pick-ups in the line-up, XLT, Sport, Wildtrak and the limited
00:19edition Stormtrak.
00:21All variants have a 3,500 kilogram brake towing capacity, with XLT offering up to 973 kilograms
00:28payload and all get full-time four-wheel drive, high and low range and a locking rear
00:33differential when the going gets gnarly.
00:36Under the bonnet is a 2.3 litre turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost petrol engine with
00:42a 75 kilowatt electric motor.
00:44This punches out a combined 207 kilowatts and 697 newton metres.
00:49That's the most torque of any production Ranger and more powerful than any diesel Ranger.
00:54Driven as a hybrid, Ranger P-EV delivers impressive fuel economy, returning an official
00:59combined figure of 2.9 litres per 100 kilometres.
01:03Thanks to its 11.8 kilowatt hour usable battery and pro power on board, Ranger P-EV can be
01:09used as a mobile power source to run all sorts of electrical equipment from the work site
01:14to the campsite.
01:15There you have it, Ranger P-EV retains Ranger's core DNA with the added benefits of hybrid
01:22technology and pro power on board.
