Fyre Festival 2.0 will not go down in Playa del Carmen, Mexico next month, and the organizers say it's because they got royally screwed by the Mexican government.

00:14So Fyre Festival 2 was supposed to happen in Playa del Carmen in Mexico.

00:18Starting May 30th.

00:20But we just obtained text from the event's producers where they say...

00:24Mexican government is a joke. They f***ed us.

00:27What happened?

00:28Playa del Carmen released a statement saying that no such event with that name will take place in our city.

00:32Well they also said we've never been even asked.

00:35Billy McFarlane and his team have said we got their blessing.

00:40And the man responsible for Fyre Fest 1, legally according to his prison sentence, wouldn't lie, right?

00:46So Billy McFarlane posted a big timeline showing when he had interactions with city officials that on this date we got permits.

00:53He even posted the permit! Seems legit.

00:56Seems legit if you don't speak Spanish.

00:58People who live in Playa del Carmen are pointing out that the permits he's showing is for a beach club that only allows 250 people,

01:05only pre-recorded music, and it has a decibel limit.
