00:00We're about a week in, here's what I'm seeing, Buck.

00:02I'm seeing a lot of runs being scored.

00:04I'm seeing this new park in Sacramento.

00:06A lot of runs being scored there, more home runs, a lot of velocity chasing as well.

00:11I don't know if I missed anything there, but at least that's my initial thought.

00:15I generally don't see 15, 20 run gains in the first week of April.

00:19I feel like there's been a lot thus far.

00:23Well, I think 20, 30 years from now, if you're trying to project what ballparks

00:27are going to look like, you know you're being old.

00:30You know you're old when ballparks you remember as new are being torn down.

00:34That's where I am in my life.

00:36Some of them are on their third, Texas on their third stadium.

00:39But I think you're going to see people cover their fields and

00:42not let the elements affect it.

00:44You know, we all know it rains at four o'clock every afternoon, it seems like,

00:48in Florida, so you better have a good indoor cage in Tampa.

00:51Sacramento with the elevation, you know, I was in Utah and, you know,

00:57Salt Lake City's being talked about as a possible expansion or relocation.

01:02And I don't think people realize that it's not too far behind Colorado.

01:06That ballpark will be very conducive to offense.

01:10And the top three elevations are Colorado, Arizona, and

01:15a lot of people don't know Atlanta.

01:16That's why they call it the launching pad.

01:19So the elevation plays a lot into how you put the club together.

01:22But I think with Sacramento, it's, you know, we see all these trends.

01:28I've always gone by the adage that never judge a player in the spring or

01:31the fall.

01:33You know, you judge them over a track record.

01:37You know, the first thing I look at when I look at stats of a player when I think

01:40about acquiring them is I look at games played.

01:42Can they post up?

01:43Can they play?

01:45You know, and with off days and load management and all the things going on,

01:49the guys that can post up, you know, that's what's so valuable about Lindori.

01:52He plays 155, 160 games, so you can count on it.

01:57You know, his 90% is better than the 100% of the guy you replace him with.

02:01But, you know, it'll be interesting to see how the Dodgers and

02:05the Braves play out in the long haul.

02:07But that's what's different, Craig, is we play a sport every day for

02:10seven or eight months to roll the dice in October.

02:13And I think October's more of a roll of dice than ever before.

02:17But I just think that you gotta trust the length of the season and

02:22play the long game while people around you are in full panic mode.
