00:05These foods, as well as food innovations, were brought to a food expo in Pasay.

00:17Sampaloc and chocolate.

00:19It's a weird combination, but that's the creation of Isaganyo.

00:22He used to work on a cruise ship.

00:24Now, he gave up his business after studying to become a chocolatier.

00:29The sweetness of the chocolate and the sourness of the tamarind, you have a fruity flavor.

00:38In America, there are raisins that are coated with chocolate,

00:41while here in the Philippines, there is Sampaloc that is coated with chocolate.

00:47It's sweet, it's sour, it's perfect for the Filipino taste.

00:50It's not too sweet. Actually, it's more delicious than the one I bought in Thailand.

00:55Another chocolate creation is Isaganyo's cacao jam.

00:59Why not use the pulp of the cacao jam instead of throwing it away?

01:04That's just a few of the items that were brought to the 17th Philippine Food Expo in Pasay.

01:09There are also giant fries and donuts with a Filipino twist.

01:15We have buko pandan, pastillas, leche flan, and mango grahams.

01:20Aside from the food items that were brought to the Food Expo,

01:24there are also items that can improve the quality of products and services.

01:29Out of the 300 exhibitors, we have 75 equipments.

01:34So, for the first time, we have equipments manufacturers joining.

01:37Like the machine that can turn soil into leftover food.

01:41If you put it in the machine, you have your own compost machine in your kitchen.

01:48The Philippine Food Expo is said to be a good platform to show the proud Filipino products

01:53as well as the Filipinos' hospitality and business-mindedness.

01:57It's a chance for our food exporters to be able to showcase the products.
