Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has launched a scathing warning to Europe, calling the EU a “decaying corpse” following sweeping tariffs announced by U.S. President Donald Trump. In a post and public statement, Medvedev said these reciprocal tariffs would devastate European economies while having little impact on Russia. Amid growing U.S.-EU tensions, many European leaders fear a trade war. Hungary and Slovakia also blame sanctions and energy policy failures for economic decline. Washington, however, has warned of harsher retaliatory action if Europe responds to the tariffs.
