00:00At the same time, the Agriculture Department said that the Philippines can take advantage of the US' higher tariffs on other countries.
00:13According to Agriculture Secretary Francisco Chulaurel, the tariffs are lower compared to other countries in Asia that can take advantage of our country.
00:26He is one of the so-called competitors of the Philippines in Asia.
00:31When it comes to agricultural exports, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and several other countries in Southeast Asia are among the countries that can benefit from the tariffs.
00:39Among the products of the Philippines that can benefit from the tariffs are coconut, seaweeds, and other fish products.
00:50If the tariff of the Philippines is only 17% in the US, and Vietnam, which is a major supplier, is at 46%, and Thailand is at 34%, which is the second major supplier, then we are at an advantage.
01:06As for coconut, technically, more or less, we are at an advantage.
