00:00In the meantime, 17 Filipinos were released from jail because of their collusion with former President Rodrigo Duterte.

00:08According to Migrant Worker Secretary Hans Leo Kakdak,

00:11no case has been filed against the 17 Filipinos, but they are being investigated for illegal assembly and collusion without permit.

00:20While waiting for that, they were given a provisional release.

00:23Meaning, they are free from jail, but they cannot leave Qatar.

00:28If proven guilty, they can be sentenced to 6 months to 3 years in jail and a fine of more than P150,000 to P780,000.

00:40DMW promised that it will continue to provide legal and welfare assistance to OFWs.

00:49We're very, very thankful to the Qatari authorities, to the Qatari government,

00:54for allowing the provisional release of the 17.
