00:00The government spent Php 1.5 trillion for infrastructure projects in 2024, according to the Department of Budget and Management.

00:11This is equivalent to 5.8% of the gross domestic product or GDP of the country.

00:17According to the DBM, this is the result of the unexpected increase in costs in speeding up the implementation of projects,

00:25especially in the construction of rail lines.

00:28Meanwhile, under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s Build Better More BBM program,

00:34he wants the country to reach the Golden Age of Infrastructure
