00:07canopy in Perkan Sabak, Burnham, early Tuesday morning.

00:12Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Operations Director Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar

00:17said a team was dispatched following a distress call at 1.08 am.

00:22Upon arrival, they found the fire at the 40-square-foot canopy had already been extinguished.

00:27The victims, all in their 20s, had been transported to Tengku Ampuan Jema Hospital.

00:33One of them suffered serious injuries to both legs and his right hand, while the others

00:38sustained minor injuries.

00:40Sabak, Burnham Police Chief Superintendent Muhammad Yusuf Ahmad confirmed that the vendor

00:45had a permit to sell firecrackers and fireworks at the canopy.

00:50The case is being investigated under Section 285 of the Penal Code.

00:54Superintendent Muhammad Yusuf urged anyone with information about the incident to contact

00:59the Sabak, Burnham District Police Headquarters Operations Room at 03-322-459-63.
