00:00Tesla and rival EV maker BYD are in very close competition and we've got 5 charts to show you how they compare.

00:06Their EV sales are neck and neck with Tesla selling 1.79 million EVs in 2024 and BYD trailing behind at 1.76 million.

00:15But this doesn't mean Tesla made more overall vehicle sales.

00:18BYD also sells hybrids and actually sold over 2 million more vehicles than Tesla in 2024.

00:24BYD's revenue surpassed Tesla's in 2024.

00:27You can see here that BYD reported an annual revenue of about $107 billion US dollars compared to Tesla's $97.7 billion.
