00:04I will just ask again if we have the figures, how many housing units have been distributed

00:17by the BBMA administration under 4PH, the Pambansang Pabahay for the Philippine Family

00:27Home Administration?

00:29We have received, but this is not yet complete for now, but I can give you some data.

00:40As of this time, according to the report of DSUD, we have 90 ongoing projects nationwide

00:48in various stages of development and construction.

00:52Some of these have already been completed and will generate a total of 259,365 housing units.

01:03There are also 82 projects currently in pre-production stage and 436 pending proposals.

01:11At least 8,000 housing units for turnover this year.

01:15We also mentioned Davao City and San Juan.

01:20We also mentioned Palayan City, Nueva Ecija, City of San Fernando, Pampanga, Bacolod City, Tagoloan,

01:31Misamis Oriental.

01:33We also mentioned Abuab, San Mateo Rizal, and Bukawe, Bulacan.

01:40So if we have an estimate, how many million is this?

01:44It does not have a million yet.

01:48Within three years in the position of President Marcos?

01:53That is what I said and this is not yet complete.

01:57Because it said 1 million per year, so to complete the backlog of 6.5 million housing units in the Philippines.

02:08Our President said, this is what he said, and I quote,

02:14We are aiming for 1 million homes, 1 million low-cost and socialized homes a year.

02:22It is an ambitious number, but we will try very, very hard.

02:28So there are times when we want to finish everything, but there are causes of delays.

02:34Like processing and release of development loans for private contractors,

02:39permitting or due diligence process on site suitability and land ownership.

02:45There are also problems or issues regarding construction,

02:51because it seems that there is longer construction period for vertical housing,

02:58at least 10 months average for walk-up,

03:02for story buildings only.

03:04And the capacity to borrow or avail of the development loan of private contractors.

03:09And this will be given very cheaply to our countrymen,

03:14so only a few contractors and developers are joining this project.

03:22So these are issues that the administration does not want.

03:28But as our President said, we aim 1 million houses a year.

03:37And we will try very, very hard.

03:40What are the reasons why there are contractors lagging behind in this project?

03:47As I said, the price we will give to the countrymen to avail this,

03:54that is why some contractors do not want to join this kind of project.

04:03Only a few developers.

04:05Usec, is this not part of the government's national budget

04:11for the construction of house projects by the administration?

04:17That is wrong.

04:18This project is not part of the GAA.

04:20This is a foundation of love.
