Good morning, Usec.
00:04
I will just ask again if we have the figures, how many housing units have been distributed
00:17
by the BBMA administration under 4PH, the Pambansang Pabahay for the Philippine Family
00:27
Home Administration?
00:29
We have received, but this is not yet complete for now, but I can give you some data.
00:40
As of this time, according to the report of DSUD, we have 90 ongoing projects nationwide
00:48
in various stages of development and construction.
00:52
Some of these have already been completed and will generate a total of 259,365 housing units.
01:03
There are also 82 projects currently in pre-production stage and 436 pending proposals.
01:11
At least 8,000 housing units for turnover this year.
01:15
We also mentioned Davao City and San Juan.
01:20
We also mentioned Palayan City, Nueva Ecija, City of San Fernando, Pampanga, Bacolod City, Tagoloan,
01:31
Misamis Oriental.
01:33
We also mentioned Abuab, San Mateo Rizal, and Bukawe, Bulacan.
01:40
So if we have an estimate, how many million is this?
01:44
It does not have a million yet.
01:48
Within three years in the position of President Marcos?
01:53
That is what I said and this is not yet complete.
01:57
Because it said 1 million per year, so to complete the backlog of 6.5 million housing units in the Philippines.
02:08
Our President said, this is what he said, and I quote,
02:14
We are aiming for 1 million homes, 1 million low-cost and socialized homes a year.
02:22
It is an ambitious number, but we will try very, very hard.
02:28
So there are times when we want to finish everything, but there are causes of delays.
02:34
Like processing and release of development loans for private contractors,
02:39
permitting or due diligence process on site suitability and land ownership.
02:45
There are also problems or issues regarding construction,
02:51
because it seems that there is longer construction period for vertical housing,
02:58
at least 10 months average for walk-up,
03:02
for story buildings only.
03:04
And the capacity to borrow or avail of the development loan of private contractors.
03:09
And this will be given very cheaply to our countrymen,
03:14
so only a few contractors and developers are joining this project.
03:22
So these are issues that the administration does not want.
03:28
But as our President said, we aim 1 million houses a year.
03:37
And we will try very, very hard.
03:40
What are the reasons why there are contractors lagging behind in this project?
03:47
As I said, the price we will give to the countrymen to avail this,
03:54
that is why some contractors do not want to join this kind of project.
04:03
Only a few developers.
04:05
Usec, is this not part of the government's national budget
04:11
for the construction of house projects by the administration?
04:17
That is wrong.
04:18
This project is not part of the GAA.
04:20
This is a foundation of love.
