00:00Malacanang is being targeted by LGUs who are inspecting their homes in their jurisdictions.
00:06Alvin Baltazar of Radyo Pilipinas is also being pressured to issue building permits.
00:15Malacanang is forcing local government units to conduct inspections in their homes.
00:22Palace Press Officer and PCO Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro is also part of this.
00:27They are preparing for the upcoming Big One,
00:31followed by the 7.7 magnitude quake that hit Myanmar this Friday.
00:36Atty. Castro is not calling for this,
00:39but a demand for LGUs,
00:43especially if the Big One is not fixed.
00:47The building officers of each LGU can now proceed
00:50with their investigation while the PCO official
00:55is also pressuring them to issue building permits.
00:58This is to ensure that the homes they will build are strong
01:02and comply with the building code.
