00:06The veteran actor passed away on Saturday night in his home in Hawaii just two days

00:10shy of his 91st.

00:12Chamberlain was best known for his roles in various television series in the 1960s through

00:16to the 80s, which earned him the nickname King of the Miniseries.

00:20His performances in Dr. Kildare, Shogun, and The Thorn Birds all won Golden Globe Awards.

00:26In 2003, Chamberlain came out to the public as gay in his autobiography titled Chattered

00:31Love.

00:32He described the struggles he had to face in the entertainment industry, which led to

00:36him having to hide his sexuality.
