00:00All right sweet 16 tonight in uh Newark in the rock and of course at the chase in the city

00:09Yep, uh, we get back going with the ncaa tournament. We've had a few days off, of course last weekend

00:15You know in terms of excitement and upsets was probably a little lackluster. There it is. Uh the big picture there

00:22Uh for you, uh as we get ready for tonight

00:25And four games this evening four games tomorrow and we'll get a little closer to the final four

00:31Uh, I will uh be updating baseball as I move along though

00:33Juan soto gets a hit in his first minute bat a little uh single to the right side for juan soto belly single

00:40No homer, but he's singled the right. At least he got a hit in his yankee debut

00:45I need not good enough. We don't care about singles here. We need it. Yeah

00:49We care about taters singles do nothing for me

00:52Uh, so let's start with alabama and byu they'll kick things off just after seven o'clock east

00:58In new jersey at the rock, uh, we'll start with alabama head coach nate oats

01:02Of course, there's been a lot said about alabama's defense particularly that uh, they don't play any

01:08Uh, here's nate to talk about that

01:11I'd appreciate if you guys put a lot more talk out there about our defense isn't good enough to win this game so that we could

01:17To show our guys that nobody believes in them like last year. So yeah, I mean our defense wasn't any good last year

01:22I think we failed and we weren't even in the top 100 on defense

01:27It was pretty easy

01:28To show our guys that our defense isn't good enough. We we struggle there at the end of the year

01:33They finally got the guys to wake up after we lost the first round of the sec tournament

01:38They lost, you know at the end of the regular season. I think this year our defense is significantly better

01:43It's still not where we'd like it to be

01:46And it's going to have to get significantly better to make another final four run

01:52Well, we'll find out tonight with a team that likes to fill it up in in byu and you and I both feel that um,

01:59You know this this to me is about uh offense

02:03This is not a defensive game. So all this talk that he just said, you know, we'll tell our kids

02:08They don't play any defense. I mean they don't so let's uh,

02:12Watch these two go up and down and see who can put more on the board

02:17Uh, of course byu, uh hasn't been in this spot in a while a new head coach kevin young

02:22And their crew going into the sweet 16 against the team that went to the final four last year. He knows

02:28It's going to be a very tough challenge

02:30Obviously, we're uh excited to be here. Um

02:35You know excited to you know advance in this tournament have a chance to you know, keep playing obviously, uh, alabama is a great team

02:42super well coached and uh

02:44You know tall task for us. Um, we'll have have our guys feel like we're in a really good, you know mental place and uh,

02:51We're just excited to uh get to the game

02:56That just didn't go over with me. I'm not buying the car

03:00I'm not buying the car from this guy. Like I just they I look I think they're really good

03:05I have actually bet on them and you know a lot this year

03:10And then and they constantly get it done so I am worried about

03:16Okay, i'm not going to deny that I still think alabama beats them

03:26but I think byu is better than

03:29I guess everyone thinks they are they're legit

03:32I I think that they're legit too

03:33But the problem I I have tonight with them is is that I just think it's a really bad matchup

03:39I think that they're trying to beat a team

03:43That does what they do. They just do it a lot better

03:46You know that that's the thing that you know, I know that byu could score tons of points

03:50Well alabama, that's what they do. They score tons of points and I just think it's going to be very tough for byu

03:55on this stage

03:57Uh to overcome that it's four and a half now
