00:00It's quite interesting that there's been quite so much criticism of the journalist in question, Goldberg.

00:07He was dismissed as being a sleazebag by President Trump.

00:11We heard a clip before we crossed to you of the US National Security Advisor

00:15describing him as, you know, berating his journalistic credentials, shall we say.

00:21And yet, they're quite lucky, aren't they, that they stumbled upon a journalist like Goldberg

00:27because he showed some integrity, didn't he, by coming forward.

00:31I mean, he could have perhaps stuck around in that group and learned an awful lot more

00:34and revealed that to the wider world.

00:36I mean, what are your thoughts about that, Sir Mark?

00:38Well, I don't really have any sort of specific comments on Jeffrey Goldberg.

00:42I don't know him at all, but I think it's probably not sensible in the longer term

00:48for the administration to shoot the messenger.

00:51You know, as you say, it was fortunate in some ways that he acted as honorably as he did.
