00:36either you want that person to not know you at all,

00:39so maybe they're way away from where you stay,

00:42or there's still a sense of judgment, right?

00:45And I think that lack of social accessibility,

00:48that lack of a judgment-free, safe, educational shopping experience

00:52is what led to really low adoption rates.

01:01And our goal is a world where buying a condom is not a nightmare.

01:17Salad is the second female-founded brand of condoms,

01:21which is so surprising because almost 48% of our population is women.

01:31I think the first battle women have to fight,

01:33even in entrepreneurship, is being taken seriously.

01:36A woman talking about sex so openly, or even safe sex so openly,

01:41even if it's a health-first, educational perspective,

01:44seems to be solicitous,

01:46and people tend to think that you're just going to be open to whatever.

01:51So, one thing that I did right during the launch of it

01:54was remove all my images from social media

01:56because I wanted to control the narrative.

01:58There were uncomfortable conversations that would happen on the salad page as well,

02:02where people would ask,

02:03Oh, madam, which size do you like?

02:06Or, you know, just random dick pics.

02:08And you need to know how to deal with that

02:11when you're talking to a woman about sex.

02:13And I think that's the biggest challenge.

02:21Especially as a female entrepreneur, I think it's critical.

02:29For example, our clubhouse group was the highest,

02:32was the largest sex-ed community on the platform.

02:37We hosted a lot of conversations,

02:39and this was before the brand was launched.

02:47After the round of pre-orders,

02:49I was sold out within like 24 hours.
