00:00Hi. Namaste. I'm Sudha Murthy, author, philanthropist. That's all I can tell about myself.

00:10I enjoy children's company and I always feel that you can tell nice stories to them.

00:30I realized during COVID time the greed of human nature. It is nice. Nature is so beautiful,

00:44bountiful. It is nice. But if you too much, you know, attack on nature, so nature or Mother

00:53Earth gets upset with you sometime and she scares you because there's so much of plastic,

00:59so much of use and throw. There is so much of, you know, production, usage, and not minimizing things.

01:21Who is that painter? Who is that artist? Who has made this world so beautiful?

01:28There's a golden, yellow color sand. There's a blue sky. There's a dark blue sky and in the night the star twinkling.

01:39There are snow-clad mountains, tall Deodharu or pine trees, then valley of flowers, colored, colored vegetables and fruits.

01:50And so are animals and birds and insects and aquatic animals. So who is that painter? Who is that artist? Who knows so many colors?

02:10As a child, when I was young, the only entertainment was reading. Okay, we never had TV, computer game.

02:19Then mobile app, none of them were there. So the only entertainment for us was reading.

02:28We used to read more of a Chandamama, which was a magazine in those days and mythology.

02:35And there was a shortage of children books, particularly Indian authors. Today we have an

02:42option because there are many players in children's literature. People like to read a colorful,

02:49attractive computer character or electronic character than the books.

02:56But the advantage of books is it increases your imagination.
